Pro Shade Ready (PSR)

A sun visor integrated into the helmet does not only have advantages:

It restricts manufacturers when designing the shape of the helmet and thins out the interior of the head protection, as a complete sun visor including swivel mechanisms has to be recessed between the shell and EPS liner.

Traditional manufacturer Arai has declared war on this problem and, with its Pro Shade visors, has brought sun protection onto the road that not only offers maximum safety, but also maximum adaptability for everyday use on two wheels.

When open, the add-on acts as a sunshade that protects against vertical light incidence. According to the manufacturer, even the light from streetlamps at night is successfully blocked out. In the lowest position, the visor not only acts as a quick response to sudden changes in visibility, but also as a haze shield. This shield protects against condensation in the field of vision and promises the best possible visibility in any weather.

The Pro Shade System is compatible with various Arai visor systems so that it can be easily retrofitted to many helmets from the Japanese manufacturer. The protective visor is mounted on the outside of a suitable Arai helmet and can be conveniently adjusted to changing riding situations during the ride with a movement of the rider's hand. The visor can be opened and closed almost continuously. The visor only locks imperceptibly in the fully open position — the shield mode — and requires the biker to pull the visor away from the helmet slightly, almost intuitively, when lowering it again.
