RST Alpha 5, textile pants waterproof

RST’s entry level textile pants.

The Alpha has all the basic features you need, but with a nod to safety in terms of the reflective panels on the outside of the pants. Even in extreme conditions, you can stay visible, warm and dry - perfect for a touring style of riding.

Touring fit

• Thousands of engineering hours have been invested to provide the rider with maximum comfort in an upright riding position.
• With different lengths for front and back to provide weather protection and all day comfort.
• Also comfortable off the bike.
• The fabric pants are long enough to cover the boots in the riding position, up to three leg lengths are offered.

Core Spun Polyester Yarn

Core-spun polyester is used for the production of textile garments, is extremely tear resistant and suitable for a wide range of textile fabrics.

The solid core provides additional strength and abrasion resistance compared to spun fiber yarn.

MaxTex

MaxTex is a 600-denier polyester fabric that offers a good balance between protection and ergonomics.

MaxTex was developed exclusively for RST and offers higher abrasion resistance than normal 600 denier polyester.

Sinaqua waterproof membranes

Sinaqua membrane

A three-layer, durably waterproof and breathable membrane with a breathability of 5,000 gr./m²/24h and a waterproofness of over 10,000 mm/cm³.

Sinaqua PRO membrane

An extremely durable, three-layer, waterproof and breathable membrane offering exceptional breathability of 11,500 gr./m²/24 h and waterproofing of over 15,000 mm/cm³.

Sinaqua PRO laminate

An extremely durable, three-layer, waterproof and breathable membrane that offers exceptional breathability of 11,500 gr./m²/24 h and waterproofing of over 15,000 mm/cm³ is laminated to the outer fabric.
