GORE-TEX

The GORE-TEX membrane has over 1.4 billion microscopic pores per square centimeter. These pores are about 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a water vapor molecule. This makes the GORE-TEX membrane permanently waterproof/windproof and at the same time very breathable.

The result: no water can penetrate from the outside, wind is kept out and sweat can be easily released. To guarantee absolute weather resistance, GORE-TEX products are sealed with GORE-SEAM TAPE technologies. These tapes seal every hole, no matter how small, that is created when the membrane is sewn into garments. To meet the specific requirements of all areas of use, GORE-TEX has developed a wide variety of membranes and technologies, which are incorporated into the respective products depending on their properties.
